The stroke of midnight...

It's already almost 2011!!!  Seriously where did the year go?  Do you remember the first time you were able to stay up until midnight on New Years eve?

I sure do remember mine, lol.  My dad and I went to BlockBuster to rent some movies.  I, of course, rented Alpha's Magical Christmas.  I also owned one other Power Ranger VHS at that time, and from 6pm- midnight I watched the two video's back to back.

Once it finally reached midnight, I was ecstatic  I was the only person in our house that was awake.  Then I made it a point to use the bathroom.  Just so I could say that I was the first to use the toilet of the new year.  Boy, was I a strange kid.  LOL!

I hope everybody welcomes 2011 safely.  Happy New Years!!

Christmas

Sorry I didn't update.  I hope everybody had a joyous Christmas.  I, of course, was blessed with the stomach flu, lol!

I'll try to get an update this week or weekend.

Thanks!

Imagination Games

Remember back when all you needed was imagination to have a good time?  I do, and one game my daycare buddies and I liked to play was called "Lava."  I know that I'm not the only person to play this game because there is a group on facebook about it.

The only things that you needed to play this game were
1.)  Legs
2.)  Floor
3.)  Furniture
4.)  Competitive spirit
5.)  Imagination

This game could last for hours even if you didn't have the best attention span.  The game play is super easy.  All you have to do is jump from furniture to furniture BUT if you slipped and touched the floor.  You fell and are now dead.  The other great thing about this game is that you can make it as difficult as you want.  Some times we would throw pillows at each other while we jumped to the next object, for example.

My sister and I spent hours playing this game.  Sure, it drove our parents nuts but it kept us occupied for awhile, lol!
